The very single reason why I ever started writing this blog, sharing my DIY furniture transformations, redecorating, and why I ever began our little business is this: to help & inspire even just one person. If you have ever wondered if you should “take that chance”, “live out loud”, “make that move”, “pursue your passion”, please let me encourage you with the following comment recently left on my blog:
“I’m new to bringing new life to old furniture, and have learned much already from reading posts on your site. Thank you for that. And thank you, too, for sharing your faith. I, too, am on a journey that started in 2013. January of 2013, to be exact. That was the month we were told that my 39 year old daughter had breast cancer. It’s now January, 2017, and my daughter has been gone for nearly two years. I am a believer, but struggling…how to wade through the grief, how to find joy again….how to find my belief again. Taking old furniture and bringing it to life again has been cathartic for me. I feel some joy again. Then I found your site in the midst of all my research. And in the midst of THAT, you shared your faith. You stepped out boldly for God. It gave me happiness to read your post. I’m now learning from you in a whole new way. Thank you and bless you.”
Well, if that’s not encouragement, then I don’t know what is! Thank you, Catherine, for taking the time to reach out. I am so very grateful for our connection.
Not all of you will like everything here all of the time, but if I can help one sweet soul every now and then, then I have succeeded in my mission. May you find yours . . .
